The glamour and excitement of awards season moved to Leicester last night on Monday the 25th of January as the entire Barrie Stephen Hair team came together at The Case Restaurant in Leicester to celebrate a year of successes and 20 years of the Barrie Stephen brand.
The doors to the entrance of The Case Restaurant and the windows inside were emblazoned with ‘B Factor 2016’ and ’20 Years of Barrie Stephen’, featuring his new ‘Selfridges yellow’ branding. A premium event for Leicester’s top salon group: beautiful candelabra’s sat lit in the middle of the room on a table surrounded by flowers, delicious canapes and champagne ……B-Factor brilliance. Not a detail left unattended, the room had its own branded Barrie Stephen photo booth, a DJ and a saxophone player.
Amongst the audience were 50 Barrie Stephen staff members from across all four salons, members of the press, both local and from the hairdressing industry, special celebrity guests Stephen Webb and Chris Steed from Channel 4’s Gogglebox, local celebrity and radio presenter Jonathan Lampon, and the longest standing clients from each of the four salons. There were, of course, representatives from some of the 20 brand associations and partnerships that this dynamic business has formed over its 20 years including De Montfort University, the Curve theatre and the local RSPCA, Woodside.
Host for the night was previous Apprentice candidate and now BBC football reporter and commentator Ian Stringer who introduced Barrie as one of Leicestershire’s winning businesses and the outstanding business of the year in the region. Barrie was inspirational about his 20th year, the year ahead of growth and change with new people joining the team, a new salon about to open and another two awards to add to his growing collection of accolades.
The team were blown away by the celebrity guests from Gogglebox, Britain’s zaniest TV hairdressers of the moment: Stephen Webb and Chris Steed presenting the winners with their B-Factor Awards.
